About Plus AI

Plus AI is the AI presentation tool that does not ask you to move: it runs as an add-on inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, generating and editing native slides you can share, co-edit and version exactly as before. Feed it a prompt, a document, a PDF or a URL and it drafts the deck in your existing template. There is no free plan — Basic is $15/month or $10/month billed annually, Pro $25/$20 and Team $40/$30 — and every plan starts with a 7-day trial that requires a card.

Pros

  • Output is a normal Slides or PowerPoint file — no export step, no format lock-in, no broken sharing
  • Slots into workflows where the company template and Google Workspace are non-negotiable
  • Edits existing decks, which most AI presentation tools handle badly or not at all
  • $10/month billed annually is the cheapest entry point among serious AI deck tools

Cons

  • No free plan and the 7-day trial requires a credit card
  • Design ceiling is your template's — it will not produce the visual polish Gamma or Beautiful.ai do
  • Metered in credits (1,500/month on Basic), so heavy deck weeks can hit the limit
  • As an add-on it inherits Slides' and PowerPoint's constraints, including their weaker layout automation

Our verdict

Best for: Anyone locked into Google Slides or PowerPoint by a company template who wants the first draft written for them.

Skip if: You want the best-looking deck rather than a native file — Gamma and Beautiful.ai design better if format is flexible.

Our review

Editorial score: 4.0 out of 5

Every AI presentation tool has to answer the same awkward question: what happens when the client wants the PowerPoint file? Gamma exports with losses. Beautiful.ai drops its auto-layout on the way out. Plus AI answers it by never leaving — it runs as an add-on inside Google Slides and PowerPoint and writes native slides into the deck you already have open, on the template your company already mandates. That is an unglamorous product decision and it is the entire reason to buy this over prettier rivals.

The consequence is a lower design ceiling. Plus AI inherits whatever your template can do, so the output looks like a competent version of your existing decks rather than something a designer made. It is also better than most at the job nobody else does well — editing. Rewriting one slide, remixing a layout, inserting a single new slide into an existing deck: these are the everyday operations of someone who maintains presentations rather than creates them, and they are first-class here.

Commercially it is straightforward but not generous. There is no free plan, the 7-day trial takes a card, and everything is metered in credits — 1,500 a month on Basic, which a heavy deck week will test. At $10/month billed annually it is still the cheapest serious entry point in this category, and the Team plan's template uploads and saved instructions are the real unlock for a group that needs every deck to arrive on brand.

Verdict: buy it when the file format and the template are decided for you, and you just want the first draft written. If you are free to choose the output format, Gamma's free tier and Beautiful.ai's layout engine both produce better-looking decks.

What reviewers elsewhere say

82% positive Users value staying inside Slides and PowerPoint and keeping the company template intact; the criticism is that the design output is plainer than dedicated AI deck tools.

  • Runs as a native add-on inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, plus a standalone web app
  • Generates decks from a prompt, an uploaded document or PDF, or a URL
  • Rewrite, remix and single-slide insertion for editing existing decks rather than only new ones
  • Applies your own corporate template so output arrives on-brand instead of needing a restyle

How to use Plus AI

  1. Install the Plus AI add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace or the Microsoft add-in store.
  2. Open your company template first — Plus AI generates into whatever deck you are already in.
  3. Describe the deck, or upload the document, PDF or URL it should be built from.
  4. Use rewrite and remix on individual slides to fix the draft rather than regenerating the whole deck.
  5. On Team, upload your template and save standing instructions so every colleague's output matches.
  6. Watch the 7-day trial end date — it converts to a paid plan on the card you provided.

Frequently asked questions

What is Plus AI?

Plus AI is an AI presentation tool that runs as an add-on inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, plus a standalone web app. It generates decks from prompts, documents, PDFs or URLs and edits existing slides, producing native files rather than a proprietary format you have to export.

How much does Plus AI cost?

There is no free plan. Basic is $15/month or $10/month billed annually with 1,500 credits, Pro is $25/$20 with 3,000 credits and document uploads, and Team is $40/$30 with 6,000 credits, custom branding and shared presets. Every plan starts with a 7-day trial that requires a credit card.

Does Plus AI work with PowerPoint?

Yes. It ships as both a Google Workspace add-on and a Microsoft PowerPoint add-in, and it edits native files in either — so the deck you generate can be co-edited, commented on and shared through your normal workflow.

Does Plus AI have an API?

No public API. It integrates through the Google Slides and PowerPoint add-ins and by importing from Google Drive, Docs and URLs.

Plus AI vs Gamma — which should I choose?

Gamma designs better and has a free tier, but its output lives in Gamma; exporting to PowerPoint loses fidelity. Plus AI produces native Slides and PowerPoint files inside your company template, which matters when a client or a compliance team expects a .pptx. Choose Gamma if the format is yours to pick, Plus AI if it is not.
